Seventh-day Adventists , like many other Christians, believe that most of those who will be in the Kingdom of God will not have been one of them. This is because they have read John 1 and Romans 1-3 plus Ellen White who was a religious granddaughter of John Wesley.
True, in their eagerness to be acceptable to some American evangelicals, some SDAs have taken the position that unless one has consciously accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior one is everlastingly lost.
This view has a number of big problems. One of the biggest is that the Gospel of Matthew portrays Jesus as saying that the pure in heart will see God. The number of the pure in heart exceeds the number of Christians and greatly exceeds the number of SDAs.
